About paver cleaning and sealing

Pavers fade in the sun, grow moss and weeds in the joints, and lose joint sand every time it rains hard. Cleaning brings the color back. Sealing locks it in, slows weeds and helps the joint sand stay where it belongs.

A sealing job starts with a full clean and time to dry. Low or washed out joints get refilled with joint sand, then the sealer goes on. You choose the finish: a natural matte look or a wet look that deepens the color.

How the job goes

  • Clean the pavers

Dirt, mildew and moss come out of the surface and the joints.

  • Let it dry and refill joints

Once dry, low joints are filled with joint sand and compacted.

  • Seal

Sealer goes on evenly in your choice of finish, then needs time to cure before foot or car traffic.

Paver sealing questions

Anything else, ask in the quote form and we'll answer by email.

How often should pavers be sealed?

Many sealers are reapplied every two to four years, depending on sun, traffic and the product used.

Can you clean pavers without sealing them?

Yes. Pick paver cleaning on its own in the quote form if that's all you want.

What's the difference between natural and wet look?

Natural keeps the pavers looking the way they do when dry. Wet look gives a slight sheen and richer color, similar to pavers right after rain.
